Dr. Spencer DeLucia is excited to return to Picture Hills Pet Hospital as a veterinarian after first joining the team in 2015 as a kennel attendant. During that time, she met Dr. Sims and developed a strong connection with the hospital. Over the years, they stayed in close contact, and she is thrilled to come back and care for the pets and families of the Picture Hills community.
A lifelong animal lover, Dr. DeLucia earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Mediterranean Studies (yes, that is a real degree!), and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. Her professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, and palliative care, and she enjoys helping pets maintain their comfort and quality of life through every stage of life.
Dr. DeLucia has a special fondness for senior pets, especially old, crusty Chihuahuas, as well as pigeons and her beloved pug, Kronk. When she's not at the hospital, you can find her enjoying walks with Kronk and her fiancée, bird watching, or exploring local farmers' markets.
Dr. DeLucia looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients and providing compassionate, personalized care for their pets.
